Chinese Architecture

CN

China is moving fast towards modernization. In the process, how do we ensure that the rural area would not be missing out. How do we keep the invaluable cultural tradition alive in cities? What is the development model of rural area? And what is the development model of city? These questions prove to be a difficult challenge to the world and it is of great significance for China to find the solutions.
The exhibition gives audience a different visual world by viewing social and cultural development from the perspective of architecture. We seek to show examples of architectural innovation in cities and rural areas, explore the feasibility of rural revitalization and urban renewal driven by architecture, and revive and keep alive culture with architecture.
We have taken “One Village―Songyang’s Story” as the subject of narration. The efforts made to rural revitalization driven by architecture are presented in the form of architectural models, pictures and videos from the rural point of view; “One City―Riverside City Wuhan” represents the joint efforts of experts, scholars, artists and college students. The rich architectural heritage of Wuhan has been recorded and restored by means of digital technology.
