As one of the three towns of Wuhan, Wuchang was built around the year 1371. In 1911, the famous Wuchang Uprising marked the end of China’s imperial era. Between 1926 and 1929 the ancient city wall was demolished.

Architects, experts, artists and students tried to document and reflect the vanished town and its city wall from different angles, through four different approachen.
